Yin Yoga

Where more active yoga practices will strengthen and stretch muscular tissues, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues (such as the ligaments), the bones, and the joints of the body. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Gentler poses are held for longer periods of time, and props are used to support and align the body. There is an emphasis on breath. Take 90 minutes out of your morning for yourself; leave feeling refreshed and renewed.
